My university is in the middle of an abandoned hospital site. Two of the main buildings are identical to each other. The great thing is that only one of the two have been restored, leading to an interesting comparison (particularly if you are fans of silent hill's 'otherworld' etc)
From what I have researched, the building has been empty since 2005, but it had begun closing down since 1997.
I managed to get permission to access the 'Main'
Not an awful lot remains in terms of equipment, but it really has the strangest atmosphere I have ever experienced. It's a huge place.
I even got in to the basement levels which sit in darkness with just me and a head torch. I'm a pussy so I'm really surprised I managed to stick it.
