Have a great Christmas everyone!
HISTORY:
Once used as the headquarters of the Leeds Development Corporation as well as Leeds City Council's environmental health services, Ambassador House (also known as South Point), closed in 2008.
The 57,000 sq ft building was purchased in early 2015 by communications company AQL, stating on their official Twitter account that they are planning on making it "a fully sustainable development and startup space". However, as of late 2019, the building remains in a completely dilapidated state, and a shell of its former self.
EXPLORE:
A cheeky little 8am Sunday morning explore. Anyone from the Leeds area will have probably seen this building 100s of times. The building is surrounded by spiked metal fencing, however, access into the grounds is extremely easy, and getting into this shell of a building is even more simple. Not much going on inside. Lots of leaking. Lots of pigeons. No signs of any recent squatting activity aka no duvets or needles, that I could see anyway.
Unfortunately, access to the upper floors and the roof have been removed which was extremely disappointing. Both stairwells are padlocked shut and I couldn't find the key anywhere :')
Thanks for reading !
