Hi,third post here, please let me know if you have any constructive comments, still learning the ropes...
This one is a local businessman with a large collection of mostly American stuff with some well chosen Brit stuff too (split screen Moggy Minor anyone?) Thousands of pounds is sitting here rotting away, like all proper hoarders he refuses to part with any of it. Apparently the best stuff is covered up and locked away in the barn. Some old tractors join the collection.Bit pic heavy but that's the point of a nice summers evening, right?

Start with this very rare tip-conversion Dodge pick up

Re: Americana Car Stash,Cheltenham,August 2014

Nice shots and something different :)

I'm not a petrol head by any means but love old American cars. Modern cars all seem the same to me, boring and sterile. Back then they had a bit of style and character and some beautiful design. Love all the little details like the chrome work on the handles, mirrors and lights etc.

Such a shame all that is sitting there rotting away. I'm sure at least some of those could probably be beautifully restored in the right hands.

Thanks for sharing :thumb

Looks like a good explore, Shame they've been left to rot away like that.

Nice report and great photos! :)

Was talking to a car restorer the other month about old cars rotting away, and his take was

'Its a shame but I also do not want to see the market flooded and drive the price of resto down'

and he had a few awaiting work at the back of his shed, but under cover.

Thanks for the comments guys,appreciated.
The old boys place is collapsing around him but he allegedly turned down £12k recently for one of his better trucks...

The early landy is more likely to be a 1968 to 1972 2A model.
nice pictures though, i would be lost in the beauty of those two landies

Agreed the Series I (1948-58) & earlier Series II (1958-61) had closer set headlamps, it was not till the Series IIa (1961-71) later production from February 1969 onwards that the headlamps moved to the outer bumpers. Or an early Series III (1971-85) as little changed cosmetically from the later IIA to the Series III
