First 28dl report, here goes!
Back in the summer, I visited a farmhouse fairly local to me known within the community as "Artists House" it also goes by another name but won't mention it as this gives away its location!
It's believed to have been left vacant since 2009, as that's when all the last letters are dated to. The previous owner seems to have been some sort of artist or cartographer as there are very professional looking paintings and drawings in the bedroom and other rooms. He was also well travelled, with various souvenirs from around the world, including an American driving licence. There is also a letter from a US Airman from WW2, with an attached photograph, possibly indicating some American relatives?
I'm assuming the home now lay vacant due to the owner being put into care, or possibly passing due to a large amount of letters indicating poor health. I've not included any external photos of the house as this can also give the location out quite easily.
I believe the house has since been secured, which personally I think is a good thing, as this will preserve the amazing history held in these walls.
Now on with the photos...
