Lead or Rumour info - Aspull air raid shelter Wigan

Was speaking to a regular in work earlier and he mentioned of an old air raid shelter in aspull in some woods near the rugby club, not sure if anyone knows about it but might go take a look Thursday see if i can spot anything.

Anybody know any more, completely forgot about looking for this now i can't find it on google maps anymore! Might head there to have a look tonight, see if i can drag someone along.

Google maps doesn't have every location, things would be far too easy then

You can't beat an old bit of ground work to find stuff off the beaten track where the majority of the flock don't visit

I was looking for the location of the rugby club, found it eventually, skipped over it a few times, the source probably wasn't one of the best haha, may need a day visit more than anything

There is a old mine shaft up there that had a pjmp house it cud be near there im from wigan myself

I'm from aspull and have looked everywhere for this after a old guy told me about it but iv never been able to find it, iv come across a couple of mounds that it could be under but iv never found a entrance.
