ATS Euromaster Altrincham
The Visit
After a full day exploring Stockport and the surrounding areas with @Bigjames, we passed this site a decided it deserved a closer look. After a small break we headed off back out for a late night explore.
On the approach to the site the alarm was already active, we preformed a check around the perimeter and eventually we headed inside. We did a quick room sweep to make sure we got no unwanted surprises. We did come across signs recent activity with a few cans of beer, bottles of cider and mattresses scattered around the second floor.
Recent News regarding the site.
A Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) for the building was made in December 2009, but negotiations with the business has stalled and last week it was announced that a public inquiry would be held.
(April 2011)
ATS Euromaster has launched the criticism after claiming it had been 'unfairly excluded' from the multi-million pound Altair redevelopment discussions involving both Trafford Council and the developer Nikal. The firm's Oakfield Street site is currently under a compulsory purchase order.
(August 2014)
The Altair development will finally get underway after town hall bosses gave blueprints for the initial stages of the plan the green light.
The £15m phase will include an eight-storey block of 59 apartments at the gateway to the site on Moss Lane - opposite the nearby Tesco store.
