Visit with Turk...
I thoroughly enjoyed this place. Many original features still in situ, but I also enjoyed looking at the cringeworthy attempts at chopping the cinema up into smaller screens and other horrid later additions!
At the time of construction
Today, looking very sorry for itself
The cool art deco grace of the entrance has been ruined by the addition of a heath-robinson refreshments booth...
The main auditorium has been chopped up into a large screen (the circle) and two smaller screens. The bottom two screens are kind of in a wooden shed, and looks terrible from the circle!
Rectifier room... I would love that door!
There is an epic glass and mercury combo missing from this!
And finally, "the cutting room floor"
