Barrow Hospital, situated just outside Bristol, was built in the 1930s and seen as a modern hospital for its time. IT had a large medical library and was laid out with separate villas to give the patients a more of a community feel. During the WW2 part of it was used as a Naval hospital. However a it was closed down a few years before it was planned to close due to being voted the dirtiest hospital in the UK.
