Could be a first this one, haven't seen this on here before. One of our guys spotted this place on his travels, it had been ravaged by fire but some of the building was still intact, and once we got in, the place was actually a lot better than we first thought. Couple of snooker tables had been left, all be it with the felt ripped off, and there's was a nice basement full of goodies.

Not the nicest or biggest explore and the place absolutely stunk, but its one way to kill some time. Access was too easy and no sign of any security, probably because there's nothing to vandalise.

Bit of an article about the fire, another paper also said they were treating it as arson....

Firefighters tackled a blaze at Batley Working Men’s Club.

Crews from Dewsbury, Rastrick, Stanningley, Morley and Ossett were called to the club on Wellington Street at 1.15pm on Thursday.

The fire was believed to have started on the ground floor of the building and spread to the first floor.

Around 70 per cent of the building was affected by the blaze.

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said no-one was inside the club and no-one has been injured.

Wellington Street was closed in both directions between Commercial Street junction and Purlwell Lane junction while emergency services were at the scene.
