This was one of the sites back in early 09 that hooked me into exploring, that four stack looming over the city and its people. After everyone sorting a weekend off we drove to London in its miserable weather.

After meeting with Dicky21 and AndrewB we talked the route inside through and went for it, once inside we faced a small setback - The security guards doing some sort of patrol. After sitting tight for what felt like hours we climbed the hearty route to the roof with the London guys holding the fort below us.

We wanted shots from the top of the scaffolding, the obligatory climb. Those guys that climbed the chimney my saggy hat comes off to you. We got what we wanted and descended into the darkness, it was time to get out.

Those who have visited the site will know the intensity of the lighting and security cameras - With a quick pace we dodged concrete, climbed fences and clambered through the dirt.

The powerstation was formed in two sections with A in the 30’s and section B back in the 50’s, she ceased to operate in 1983.
