This large 14 bedroom, late Victorian detached house was built on land originally owned by the Brocklehurst family who owned the largest silk mill in the country at some point during the 19th century. Constructed in pink sandstone with kerridge stone quoins and welsh slate roof. The house itself is set in 1.6 acres of land, with a variety of outbuildings, garages, large garden and has recently been on the market for a cool £1.5 million. Also known as 'Sally's House' due to all the weird scribblings on the walls of nearly every room. Not sure what the future holds for this place, most likely home to lots of new builds?

The last owners of the house were jon & dorothy hopkins as they had their tax books in the rooms downstairs also with a picture of dorothy that i have if you want me to send. jon also seemed to be ill with multiple sodium chloride drips with his name printed on them & medication & bandages etc. that’s what i saw when i last went here anyway.
