Visited with a non-member.

Built in the late 1800s as a sanatorium for Berlin workers, it was converted to a military hospital at the beginning of WW1. Adolf Hitler stayed here during October and November of 1916 after being wounded at the Battle of the Somme. He stated his opinion of his stay here in Mein Kampf (hint: he wasn't keen). In 1945 the Red Army took it over and remained here until 1995.

I tried to avoid as much as possible the 'usual' shots of Beelitz that I see posted most weeks. I should also invest in a tripod.​

Its always good to see this place and as you said , you have shown me some bits i haven't seen before. A return visit for me is planned for this year:)
