Berhsam is a rare survivor in that it has a headstock and winding house complete. The headstock is in a good state of repair, and looks to have been recently painted. A business park has been built on the site but again a great thing as the baths have been converted into light industry, just as I have always said they would be prefect for. It just goes to show that there is no need to demolish them... take a lesson Annesley!
The winding house seems to be in the hands of a preservation group, and is fairly intact with winder, winder's cabin and a few other fixtures and fittings intact. That said it is looking tired and there has been petty theft such as the makers plates. I hope something comes of it in the end.
I've put it non public as it could be easily raped of the copper in the winder. The stock is a great little climb and looks great amongst the new industry...
