I need a DSLR camera that's not too expensive, around £200. It will mostly be used for night time photography. And It would also need to be good for recording as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

2nd hand Canon or Nikon. You'll also want a wide angle lens. I only use Canon so cant speak for Nikon but something around the 400D mark would be within your budget.

Live view....one of the most unnecessary features on a camera ever! haha.
D40s can still get a few good images though they have a very small sensor so not great in low light compared to modern equivalents

Nikon D3200 and a 12-24mm lens is the best combination. DSLR are chunky though, and I use a D5200
