I didn't intend to put these photos on 28DL as I took them for a different project with my voluntary work, but I may as well share them with you fine people. :D

History of Big Bill.
Now I'm going to get really sentimental again but, One of my earliest memories (I know it is weird) is this clock tower in Crewe I can remember my mum and dad taking me into town shopping and always seeing the clock dominating the skyline. It was built as part of the 'Queensway' development in the late 1950's. It is a hand laid brick structure perched on top of the high street. It originally featured a blue glass face with gold markings, but was changed to white in the 1970's. Rumour has it that railway staff from the station and Crewe works complained that they could not read the time from the blue face so the council changed the glass. The clock tower and it's building have recently been purchased by Cheshire East Council and is earmarked for demolition in the next few years. So as you can imagine I jumped at the opportunity to take a trip up the tower, very few people have been granted permission so I was straight up.
