This was the first of many sites in Smethwick I visited one day last week with The_Monk. It doesn't seem to have had any attention from this site. Not sure how photo-worthy some of it is, but I'm gonna post what I have as I quite liked the place and to be honest, it's the only site I visited that day where I really “felt” anything, if that makes sense :)

Been trying to piece together the history of this place. A good part of the building was used as a quilting factory, as the signs outside the building suggest. The rest of it was used for clothing manufacture up until the early 90's. One of the floors also appeared to have been a cash and carry type place, and is now a graveyard for 80's/early 90's technology!

Bit of a medicine cabinet. Came across a few of these that day.

Old newspapers always excite me a bit! This one was from December 31st 1985

Could hardly move for all the ancient technology in here!

Very little left of the clothes, but I thought some of the labels were quite cool

Overall quite an interesting place with lots of things left behind (and a slightly traumatic basement!)
