After seeing Millhouse & DocP’s crazy climb it was only right for us to try it. Thanks for the tips! Myself, Appo & Herbert jumped in the motor and headed up to Blackpool.
Sitting under the glass floor is an odd experience, 380ft up it’s obviously not calm but it doesn’t feel odd. We climbed back down through a cloud with Herbert talking about us being higher than the birds.
Built in 1894 the 518ft tower is one widely known by people across the Northwest but also across the UK. A member of the World Federation of Great Towers it was designed by Maxwell & Tuke and used five million bricks, 2,500 tonnes of iron and 93 tonnes of cast steel.
