So tonight we went for a drive into dudley to try and find the blowers green railway lines and tunnel. Just abit of background information on the place it was first opened in 1878 by great western railway which origionally served as the oxford, worcester and wolverhamption railway line but as motor vehicles were on the rise it closed in 1964 because of the decrease in passengers. The site itself had gates across the entrance to the tunnel but had easy ways in and out as people had been their before but suprisingly not much vandalism to say how long the site has been dissused for . Here are a few pictures to follow

Great pics, I've often fancied a walk through the tunnel from the Zoo end. I remember as a kid Dudley train station still there, although abandoned and disused by then. It's all being re-purposed for the Metro extension now from Wednesbury along the route of the old south staffs line. Not sure if it'll terminate at Dudley or go on through the tunnel toward the old steel works yard.
