Bolton-by-Bowland is a village located in the Ribble Valley district of Lancashire and on the east side of the Forest of Bowland AONB. A 1991 closure, the post is situated on a ridge next to a track leading to Hungrill Farm. All surface structures are intact, with only a few small patches of the original green paint.

Ventilation shaft.

BPI (bomb power indicator) baffle.

The hatch is unlocked and the counter-balance weight is attached and functioning.

The monitoring room is in good condition with some remaining items including cupboard, syren box, hinged blackboard and fire blanket case.

Box for hand-operated syren

Connections for TeleTalk system.

Timed light switch.

Hand pump to remove water from grille below access shaft.
