This was one of those that you have your eye on for ages but never seem to get it done. Named due to its proximity to 'Bottom Farm'!

The system is basically an offline detention tank to store excess rain and sewer flow, pumping it back to Esholt Water Treatment Works in manageable amounts. If levels get too high, then it over spills into the River Aire near Apperley Bridge / Rawdon.

Squiz looking decidedly camp on the way down...

The twin pipe inlet into the tank can be seen at the rear. It seems as though the tank empties from the bottom as the screens were on the outer perimeter at floor level.

Panoramic view of chamber. Inlet to the rear. Twin pipes again serve the outfall just to the right of where squiz is sitting. I've never seen the metal flaps before, which were weighted at the top. I'm guessing they control the flow somehow!?

Bit of a back breaker. 230m stooping each way to the outfall and back as the outfall is grilled!!

From here it was a stoop back to the chamber to make our way out.

Good to see some more upstream stuff, Bradford has some unique CSO setups that I've not seen replicated anywhere else in the North
