Recently been to box freestone quarry in Corsham, via jacks entrance.

Ah right, knew it was unlikely but we wondered whether it was you we heard when we were there a few days back. Turns out it wasn't because we were there 22nd-23rd

We didn't get to see them sadly, we only got to see the Cathedral - took us quite a while to get there seeing as it was our first time and the following day we fancied getting out relatively early.

What do you think about an overnight visit?
Bad idea?
I don't relish the idea of spending hours covering my own tracks before i make any progress

Slept in there many a time. Yes it can be wet, but nothing a goretex bivi bag can't handle, and the further South you go the drier it becomes IIRC.

There's a nice chamber just outside Jacks that's OK for sleeping, might need a quick sweep out though.
