For some reason I had it in mind that this post had been demolished but when it popped up on the satnav yesterday I thought I'd have a look.
It's on the hillside on the opposite side of the river to the town but still would have been a bit too close to have survived in the event of Bridgnorth being a target.
From the outside it looks battered
And when you get up close the hatch has been replaced with a sheet of patterned iron.
I thought it might have been sealed , but it's easy enough to drag this aside and look down into the minging and flooded hatch.
I didn't bother heading in , and looking at the pics on sub brit that was a wise move. One to avoid unless you are a *really* obsessive completist.
