Brighton General Hospital Crane, Brighton - May 2012

On the site of the now demolished former nurses accommodation buildings at Brighton General Hospital, the construction of three residential apartment buildings is underway with the help of a modest crane.
Although the crane itself is not that high, the hospital sits at the top of the hill, and the topography of Brighton allows for some really nice views toward the south coast. Unfortunately, Brighton was cold, wet, windy and rather hazy on this particular night, so these pictures were not the greatest in the end - a bit of oh-too-obvious salvaging required to combat the grain i'm afraid. But given the trouble the others had trying to salvage their failed attempt at some deplorably ambitious plans for the crane, I left feeling rather pleased I went just for the views and some pictures.
A top night had by all.
