Had a weekend down and tried to hit as many locations as possible, was given this place of another explorer, after doing countless graffiti factory derps, i had to do summit different and I wasnt disappointmented.
I was encountered by a very angry asian man who claimed the care home to be his house, I could hear kids running about and the sound of hoovering. I honestly don't think kids should be living in this place as there was evidence of drug use and some pretty sketchy flooring.
I saw a clothes line and an ironing board round the back, it's as if they had set up this place as there home.
After a bit of a heated conversation he agreed to let me look around.
In quite stubborn and don't like backing down, maybe it was me being foolish but I wanted to see the place.
When I'd got inside I believe he and the others had vacated to the loft, I've heard he been aggressive towards others and claimed to be the care taker.
Crazy it has been closed 10 years and still has running power...
If anyone intends to vist, please be aware of the squatters, he may of been having a good day when I went...
The care home was featured in a TV mini series called Virtues.
Brincliffe Towers, a Victorian mansion, dates from the 1850s, and Chelsea Park once formed part of its grounds before the land was handed over to the city in 1935. The main property, last used as a residential care home more than five years ago, is not listed but a statement prepared by the developer as part of the application said it would be 'sensitively refurbished'.

Paid a visit today - the asian guy is still there but a few of us giving him stern words soon gained us access. Loads of stuff left in there that shows what the place was, including a few patient records.

I did Brincliffe in 2014/15 maybe, and there was still a family living in one side of it as you come down the path from brincliffe edge road, could be the same people
