Report - Bristol Council Archive Bunker - 25/05/08

Visited with Rooks, although she didn't go in, and fair play, sat outside in the rain for an hour.

Well, thank god for having some kit in the car. Access is awesome and not for the feint-hearted.

Looks like the council have been recently. There's a new door, worryingly far less secure than the old one, and they've left their lights behind.

Inside, well it's flooded and rotten, but a lot of stuff survives, albeit in a fragile state. A single corridor with two-storey rooms on the right hand side, each were used for document storage by departments such as Electricity, Police, City Engineers, Ratings Dept, Planning etc.

You've seen it before, so here's just a few pictures...

The dimmest corridor shot ever...

Upstairs storage...

City Archive storage room...

Some boxes in a wet room...

One question though... where did this go...
