In its Seventies heyday, BUSM was the city's biggest employer, with a workforce of more than 4,500 exporting shoe machinery to more than 50 countries around the world.

Going fast, along with the rest of this area of Leicester and soon to be housing. More of the good stuff, although stripped out, sheds, tower, air raid shelters. Old. Nice. How much more of this type of stuff can be left???

Terraces stretching into the distance, you can only imagine the crowds walking to and from the factory gates

I'll just whack a few up on here as I didnt take enough to warrant a report. It wasnt too pleasant standing so close to the edge of the water tower to get the fisheye shot with it all in....Good visit though!
