Bromborough Power Station - August 2016

Visited with @Merseyside Urbex

Quite small place but defiantly worth a visit if you live nearby. Mostly knocked down but still in decent condition.
Access was relatively easy.
Also met some other explorers on the way in who told us there was no way in but they clearly didn't look far.
History:
Built in 1918 to supply power to the lever brothers factory. In 1929 electricity was installed in the houses of Port Sunlight Village and, in 1931, Bromborough Dock was opened. To meet the increased demand, Central Power Station was expanded, with the addition of three more coal fired boilers and a 6.25 Megawatt generating set.
It was demolished in 1998.

Didn't get that many externals or shots of the pump house because we heard a massive bang from one of the buildings so we left.

It's been wide open for at least the last 5 years, the roof was collapsing last time I visited and that was a couple of years ago

They have covered the hole in the fence are they are going to start building on the path to the other entrance

There's more than one approach.

It might be a longer walk around the back and along the river but there's less chance of being seen
