Not much to find on the history of this place, spotted driving by so had a peek in. The whole thing is an empty shell, and 95% boarded up, horrible light inside was pitch black and my photos came out a not so lovely hue of puke greeny yellow, so B&W to save them!
I cannot find any info on what they used to produce, and there wasn't any clues left behind to find on the explore. Here's what I could find.

t's on the market at £475k having failed to sell at auction. It comes with planning permission to turn it into a hotel and conference centre The building is 15,000 sq ft of Grade II listed former office Headquarters, plus there's a large Grade II detached cottage style house and another large detached building at the front of the site.

B&W suits this place, nicely done.

I think it was Brettle and Ward (hosiery). Some info half way down this page and then Silkolene used the site.

The house is Brook Cottage. Some info half way down this page
