The production of Soda Ash began on this site in the late 1800s, with the buildings being updated and extended as more technologies become available. In 1926, Brunner Mond become part of the ICL and stayed part of the industrial chemical manufacturing giant until 1991 when the bought back the rights and become a standalone company. However, in 2006 they were bought by Tata Chemicals and shortly after that, the production was ceased.

Access was easy enough, but there's security driving around the site regularly, so would recommend being aware at all times. Sunday is definitely the best day to go.

One of my favourite explores and dodging security made it all the more fun!

Thanks for reading :)

It's not actually as big or complicated as it looks in the pictures, think we were there for about 3 hours until security turned up!
