Hi all, after reading about this defunct mast, me and a pal decided to give it a shot.
We woke up on a Sunday morning, sun beaming in through the window, after visiting the sight 3 days before and weather being awful we decided that this was the day to get some half decent photos.
Staring up the ladder from the bottom, I certainly had the wobbly leg syndrome, but my pal being the encouraging nutter, he race's off up the ladder with me (welsh boy) on tow, we stopped at each level - getting snaps of the structure, after getting half way, the wobbly legs stopped and adrenaline kicked in. We WERE getting to the top!
It's the highest thing I've ever climbed (compared to the tree's as a kid)
It took about half an hour to reach the very top and when we got there the view was awsome! Being able to see the shard and HSBC building in London.
This is my first post on 28days, it's good to be on board! :thumb
Oh and the following pictures are taken with iPhone 4s, sorry of the quality is bad.

In the distance you can make out the silhouette of London's tallest buildings
