Bucklersbury House shares with Temple Court a courtyard containing an ancient Roman temple, the Temple of Mithras. This is not the original site, it was removed by the developer to the courtyard. This was the former headquarters of Legal & General, constructed between 1957 and 1968.
14/15 Floors of sick building syndrome there isn't much to see indoors, the basement of Bucklersbury house contains an impressive strong room and timed safe and further vintage safes inside, some of the lowest floors are flooded. Temple court basements are extensive and stripped with few features, the lowest level is flooded. There is also an odd little passage way with retail units which is cut off, this still has all the signs up and appears to be used as a site office.
Some charming views if you fancy a nose, Bucklersbury House probably offers the best all round view, Temple court is closer to St Pauls and better view down the Thames.
Some medium format film shots from the Lubitel....
Matt and Alex take in the views....
Film advance failure...
And so ends my first post in a very long time
