Report - Burgh on Bain ROC post - Lincolnshire Group 03/02/2008

Visited today was easy to find thanks to my new toy

Outside structures are in good condition

Some holes here and there

The hatch was easy to open and only secured by the broken hasps

Inside was dry and warm but pretty wrecked but not burned

Chains on the wall and eye bolts all over the place ???

God knows what they used this Rubber thing for ???
Note the eye bolt

Rubber Gloves ?

Pump handle missing (wouldn't like to guess where that ended up )
Fire blanket and battery

Telephone and battery connections (No hope of calling for help I'm afraid)

more eyebolts

Mattress's in the corner

Not too bad for my first look see into a ROC post
some unusual fixtures and fittings
but a good start

From Burgh I went to look at North Somercotes.
Supposedly Open but

In filled with sand and capped with cement

Interesting surface structures though

On the way home I found Sleaford ROC subtly hidden will go back and have a look inside when its daylight and I have someone with me.
its open with No hatch but looks dry inside but with rubbish thrown down.
