Undiscovered locations in the UK

My partner told me about this place as he was working down there and since I had a few places pinned in the area, we decided to have a look down there.

The Cafe was certainly unique from the outside and by looking at the inside online it was like someone's personal collection of everything pop culture, unfortunately the place was stripped.
Surprising though there was a flat upstairs and another old cafe attached to the back which looked as if it's been closed a while.
Not the best explore I've ever done, but definitely different to something I'd usually do.
Not sure how long this place has been closed, but by looking at the signs saying wear a mask , I had a feeling it was recent.
After looking on Facebook for information, I found there page and the last post was in January, so no doubt a victim of the pandemic, I did get told that they do own another cafe though.

Another loss for the community. Strange how the diner doesnt look too bad a condition, yet the flat seems trashed. Very odd. Great snaps.

Looks like it was once a Little Chef or a Happy Eater. It was still open in 2020, but when Covid restrictions came in they served take away only from an American diner parked outside the building. Last review I can find is dated Jan 2021. The other building may have been the old truck stop. It's a long time since I've been on the A1 with many Little Chefs along the route

Yes, it's only recently closed, they used to have some great motoring memorabilia in there, and the food was great too!

Passed this twice today, recalled they used to have some sort of weird rat look modern beetle outside.

Bit more history here, found it by looking at the place via older google streetview to find out the older cafe name

Apparently the building was originally a gate house to an estate!
