It appears that the bus through Derbyshire via Milford Mill, The House of the Damned and Butterley Engineering has been running regularly over the last few months but I thought I would share this visit from early last month as there are no pictures here so far of the aforementioned medical room and offices.

We all like a bit of medical porn and the office building had an interesting loft space ;-).

It seems I managed to miss the large safe though.

History

The Butterley Company was an English manufacturing firm founded as Benjamin Outram and Company in 1790. Portions of it existed until 2009.

Interesting to see the medical room, it's weird how bits open up and get sealed here proper randomly. Noticed a distinct lack of pics from the social club/canteen area

On my visit all but one building were accessible with a little imagination. The one that was sealed was to the right of the original entrance which it has been mentioned had some kind of bomb door.

I must've missed the social/ canteen area unless it was in this building.

It is quite an interesting place this works, especially with its history.

Yeah, I didn't see the medical room either... everything other than that room with the spiral staircase was sealed when I went in May

It's all doable with some imagination, the office part with the ballroom is home to some very early paperwork. I was lucky enough to get into everywhere here including the main works prior to demolition. My grandad used to take me for tours when it was working.

I've been trying to get down to the underground sections of this for ages, looks like I'll just have to get a boat :/

English Heritage site says the shaft came up in this building, which doesn't appear to be there on Google maps.
