Pretty damn cool that mate, enjoyed the write up too. Those old wooden support beams have seen better days eh?! :)

If you can let us know how we'd do that without getting wet, I'm game. Until then, we'll have to wait until the water goes down. The gap beneath the beam was impassible (if you wanted to stay dry) in its current state.

its a canal it won't go down. Recommend 5 mm full wetsuit as you need to get in the water several times to go under the support beams

I think the water level does rise and fall, judging by other photos I've seen.

It can't do it has a blocked end with a pipe that allows water to overflow out so is at a constant 5ft the same is at the repaired section that blocks the far end.
