After a 5am start and 3 fails in the North of England we decided to head back to the Midlands and explore a safe bet, Calcot Hall. Doesn't seem to be much history around regarding this place, it seems it was once a working farm with numerous poisons and medicines for cattle lying around. And it appears the family leaving here were religious with numerous church items scattered on the floor and furniture along with lots of jars of dodgy looking pickled foods!. Place has been done numerous times but we wanted to see it for ourselves. In a very sad state now with floors in the "living room" on the verge of collapse and numerous holes in the roof, be surprised if this place survives much longer. Lots of personal effects still around including the dress and matching picture. Always feel a little sad when entering old houses to see someones life strewn all over the floor. Didn't take any pictures of the rooms as a whole and just concentrated on mainly close ups of things lying around. Visited with MisterC40.
