The Visit
After a brief trip to Brogyntyn hall we headed to our second location of the day - after climbing a small fence and jumping down into what looked like mud it soon became apparent to @jdotn15 that it was in fact tons of cow sh*t, shin deep at places, glad i wasn't the one to find this out and found an alternate way in with less sh*t involved. we soon came to realise that piles of it had been placed at every possible entrance which resulted in us getting creative to not end up covered in the stuff. Once inside the place is teaming with interesting bits and bobs and full of history, the disrepair of the building is very apparent, some rooms not even safe to enter at all unfortunately.

The History

The four-bedroom house, officially called Calcott Hall, in Llanymynech, Powys, Mid Wales, was grade II* listed in 1953 - more than two centuries after it was first built as a dairy farm in 1725. But according to census records, the owner, identified as Ellen Jones, died in the early 1970s and her home became a forgotten relic within its leafy surroundings, leaving behind her red dress hanging in the wardrobe hence why it has the been dubbed 'red dress manor'

Nice pics :thumb

One of the most widely reported facts was the level of Cow :turd in the courtyard

Although some wide shots of the rooms etc etc would have been nice as these pics could all be from the same room for all the viewer knows ?
Sorry just my thing, i"d prefer to get an impression of a place such as this, which unfortunately you don"t get from selective Arty shots :coat

Why does nobody go into the cellar  Has the bath finally fallen through the floor ? who are those people who"ve written their names on the mirror ......so many questions ;)

We didn't even find the cellar, we was a bit rushed unfortunately. planning to re visit on our next trip through Wales - with a wide angle :D

the bath hasn't fell through yet but the floor in the bathroom was really sketchy so only poked my head round the door.

Hi Robyn! This place looks great. So much atmosphere. All the belongings left behind tell a story of who lived here. Your photos are fantastic!
Really great!

Yeah, would be nice to see some wider shots of the rooms when you go back to get an idea of what its looking now, I hear most of the living is empty now..
