What's the regeneration?

In December 2012, three and a half years of extensive planning came into fruition as Bouygues Development reached financial close on Canning Town. This is set to be one of the most exciting and significant town centre regeneration projects in London. Bouygues UK is now on site with phase one – named Hallsville Quarter, and development of phase two has commenced.

Once all five phases are completed in 2024, Canning Town will be at the heart of the wider Canning Town and Custom House Regeneration Project, a £3.7 billion project which aims to transform a large part of the London Borough of Newham.

Bouygues Development and its partners (One Housing Group and London Borough of Newham) have been working closely with residents, businesses, community groups and the local authority to leave behind a sustainable legacy and transform the area into a safe, secure hub for the local community.

With London’s cycling revolution well underway, new pedestrian links and cycling provisions are also included, along with 1,100 secure parking spaces.

The development will incorporate up to 1,130 homes, including high quality accommodation for senior living, retail spaces, community centre, primary health care and nurseries, a hotel with up to 200 rooms and conference facilities, pedestrian, cycle and vehicle routes, leisure floor space and a 7,900m² Morrisons supermarket.

An energy centre, utilities infrastructure and drainage works will complement a full upgrade of services.
