Report - Canterbury underground brigade headquarters

Visited today with Ali23, stealth and cavking.

After many hours of research and perserverance (scrambling around in giant bramble bushes) we managed to have a look in the remains of this underground HQ, I say remains as sadly because of the soft sandy soil this place was dug in only a small amount is left after a series of large cave ins.

However the parts that are left are in remarkable condition as this place has been sealed since 1946 and has only recently been opened back up, I would like to thank the owner for allowing us entry and being so welcoming, he did invite us to have a look at the other part of the HQ that was accessable but we were pushed for time and ali was too frazzled like a lobster to move, so I regretably declined his offer (we will be back though).

here are the pics...

Thats pretty much it, more pictures to come when ali sorts hers out.
