The owner of this car dealership closed the doors in 2002, due to ill health and to concentrate on his family. There have been multiple applications for planning permission to completely raze the dealership and build 14 new homes on the site, however for whatever reason this has clearly not come into fruition.
There were originally more cars on the site, however these have either been auctioned off or sold privately by the owner. According to reports on the internet, the owner is still willing to take offers for the remaining 3 cars, should anyone be brave enough to tackle a repair job on any of them.
The main office itself was locked tight with several padlocks, however luckily there was a viewpoint round the back that offered a glimpse into the inside of the office. The dealership is situated right on a main road and no other access was apparent unfortunately.
There are several news articles available on this dealership online, if anyone wants to know any more about the history of the place. According to one local: ‘I've lived on and near this road for 38 years. It used to be called Cappy Hill car sales. I can say this has been like this for at least 15 years. The owner turns up now and again to cut the grass. A few cars have gone in the last few years including the legendary Cappy Hill green beetle.’

If you look closely on the windshield of this one you can see the small footprints of cats or alike imprinted on the dust:
Pictures of the inside of the "office": (Unfortunately there was really poor lighting conditions in here, and I only had my phone camera on me)
I hope you enjoyed reading this, and if anyone is in the area it's definitely worth a quick nosy around to see (before it eventually gets turned into more houses).
