Cardross AA battery was another part of the Clyde air defences in WW2
much of the site is either collapsed, hidden under thick undergrowth or being used by the farmer to keep his horses and tack in.
strange thing about this site is that it has at least 5 gun emplacements. most others only had 4. I can only assume it was upgraded during cold war times.
oh and watch out for the guard horse
you can clearly see the mounting points in 3 of the emplacements
in one bunker was about the only artefact left , this connector going into a wall
