Castlefield 1849 Viaduct, MSJ&A Railway.

A quick visit with Rookie before a mooch into town with Gone & Urban Soldier.

We nipped up and into the viaduct so I could take a few shots whilst killing time before we met up with the others one cold night in February.

A bit of History:

Four large railway viaducts from the 1800s cross Manchester's Castlefield canal basin, including the Steel Section which carried tracks between Manchester Piccadilly via Oxford Road and Deansgate.

This steel section is Grade II listed soon to be Grade I and is an integral structure within the Castlefield and Bridgewater basin.
