Report - Caterham F1 Headquarters - Aug 17

[RossWAdventures]

Caterham F1 Team entered the sport in 2010. In its five years the team failed to score a single point with its best result being 11th at the 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix.

Despite attempts to keep the team going into the 2015 season, the assets were seized and sold at auction while the 230 staff were made redundant.

This site includes 150,000 sq ft of buildings, offices and a racing car testing facility. Unfortunately no F1 cars but nevertheless still made for a great explore. That's until the police arrived after we had triggered the alarm.

The drawings are not anything special wet and covered in mould from a flooded basement thats why they where left from the start all the important drawings gotvsold in auction

God that looks like a right mess now, but it was a given considering the attention my photos got when I first put them online in June last year. With hindsight I should have known an abandoned F1 technical centre might garner quite a bit of attention from not just explorers.

Me and my pal did this when the place had stuff left and they used the building as the auction place to sell all the stuff off. I remeber watching as two caterham cars where loaded onto a flat bed and driven away. The auction was crazy. You should have attended that! The place looked so much better with furniture and stuff still in there place.
