After seeing a couple of threads about the imminent demolition of Central TV, I hooked up with Mark for a last nosey round.
From the outside everything looks much the same, apart from a few holes in the outside walls for tipping rubble into skips.
Inside is a different story though....!
After visiting several times last year, it was quite a shock to see the place totally stripped out to bare concrete and girders.
The studios however were relatively untouched. All the power is now off, so 30 second exposures and plenty of light painting are a must.
Studio 3 (Tiswas) control room.
It used to look like this.
Blue screen studio.
Transmission control room. This used to be full of levers and switches to play with.
This was probably a farewell visit, as the interior now resembles a concrete box!
