I went to the Wortley curve & Central viaduct, (4 years apart)
nothing epic but passed away a few hrs.

Wortley curve

The Wortley curve was opened in 1844,
by the Great Northern railway (GNr) & is half mile long.
There's 1 over bridge crossing oldfield road & a footbridge, the track remains in situ but has been severed at both sides
closed during 1985.
This connected the Wakefield & the Bradford - Halifax branches,
until it became surplus to requirements.

Central viaduct

The Central viaduct was built in 1844,
by the Great Northern railway (GNr) & is 332 Yards long.
There's 2 over bridges with ornate ballustrades crossing the Aire & canal,
the remaining structure consists of 15 arches.
The viaduct has been severed at both sides,
closed during 1967.
This was originally the main route from / to Leeds central station,
until it was replaced by todays station.

Beats a car park too. Two little wonders, and some quite nice colours and stone masonry on that viaduct. Are the Wortley curve ones film? or just look it?

@Calamity Jane

there digital camera, but the colour's poor on 2 of them.

I wouldnt say poor, just not as bright as the others, so looked a bit film like. Still good shots, and its winter, always affects our shots when skies are grey. But still a nice wander, and viaducts are underestimated, we walk past and ignore the design. So it is different in that respect. I have a viaduct 5 mins from me, until your post I never really looked at its architecture :thumb
