My goodness me. I am shocked to know all that still exists here. Bloody well done in getting inside.

Brings back memories of work, coal cutting machine was known as a “Shearer” manufacturer unknown from the pictures, the hydraulic rams were for supporting the roof and pushing the chain conveyor into the coal were “chocks”, the small machine appears to be an “Eimco Shovel” and the the chain conveyer was known by various names, AFC or armoured flexible conveyor or often panzer. Hope this helps in future, you’d think I would have seen enough pits after 30 years in the dark?
Great pics and report, these places going to be a memory soon, even museum closing.

Nice report. Shame the museum closed, I visited many years ago, back in the early 80s, can't remember much about it sadly.
