After being told that I should post some reports I thought I'll give it a go; Chedglow was my first visit (with help from Weeble) and after a rocky start with being escorted off the land by an angry farmer, I tried again and I was glad I did because it's a lovely little folly. Inside was a complete mess and the current farm owner is using it for storage so there's not many inside pictures as I couldn't even see the floor.

History: It was built between 1989 and 1999 by a stained glass artist called Colin Stokes, on land he owned near his house in Chedglow, Wiltshire. He built it for his sheep. The council were not best pleased that neither Stokes nor his flock had been through the due planning process, and the stress of the bureaucracy may have contributed to him moving to Scotland. The ‘barn’ remains quietly dilapidating in a field.

Hope the photo sizes are ok, I did look at the FAQ and told Photobucket to keep the sizes to the allowed size but they still seem large.

All the windows are made from stained glass and show local scenes.

Fantastic little place, the glass is really nice. Just a shame that some scrote will happily smash them to pieces at some point.
