Teachers and pupils from the past and present turned out to bid farewell to a primary school.
Church Lawton Primary School shut its doors for the last time yesterday despite a year-long battle by campaigners to save it.The former Cheshire County Council drew up proposals to close the school last year as part of a review of school places across the Congleton district. Officials said there were seven other primaries within a two-mile radius of Church Lawton which could accommodate more children.

With visiting the site before with no joy, we returned on the off chance with being in the area. Hopes were high for this place as it seemed fairly well secured but it seems as though the pikeys have been in so not much to see unless you like pipes hanging down and lagging and polystyrene all over the floor.
