A large late nineteenth century villa built of red brick with good quality stone detailing. One of only a small number of villas left in Grimsby that retains its large garden, which appears to have been laid out in the landscape garden style. The grounds itself are vastly overgrown and NHS notably added extensions to the building itself to serve as a hospital.
In 2009 arsonists set fire to building and the flames engulfed most of it, it is evident further inside the damage caused.

The location itself when googled provides this

A rather impressive looking villa obvious of 19th century architecture by the carefully crafted pillars.

After being neglected nature had started to reclaim.

An abandoned hospital cliche in itself.

Someone had taken residence.

After descending we were met mostly with darkness, the rooms were coveted with furniture and cooking equipment including fridges, cookers and washing machines.
It seemed a bit of a waste in all honesty.
