Hey fellow dudes!
This is my first post, I apologise for poor photos!
Last night, we visited Clitheroe Community Hospital, after our failed attempt to get into St Joseph’s Orphanage! We first arrived at St Joseph’s, Preston; and after circling the perimeter to try and hop the wall we eventually got over, unfortunately for 5ft1 me I ended up stuck on the wall for a good half an hour. Once over we couldn’t actually find our way in as we didn’t have the correct apparatus (boooo) so we headed back to the car very annoyed and found somewhere else which was Clitheroe Community Hospital!
I’ve only seen one post on here reporting on the site, we didn’t know much about it ourselves only that it was a workhouse in the 1800s, in 1930 it changed to Coplow View Public Assistance Infirmary and not long after that it became part of the NHS as Clitheroe Community hospital, until it was replaced by a swanky new hospital.
We arrived pretty late and it was pitch dark so unfortunately I have no photos of the outside, but it is easily accessible through an open door - despite us morons climbing through a broken window to then realise the door was behind us, oops.
The site is pretty messy now, (there’s two accessible buildings), it looked intact from another members post on 20th March but its currently being demolished and there’s a lot of big vehicles knocking about and missing floors, so if you visit please be careful my dudes, I don’t think it will be around for much longer!
